Alisson Achauer Photographs
Timothy Sellers Paintings
Opening: Sat. March 10, 2012 • 7 to 10 pm
For this exhibit, Allison Achauer works within the relatively new medium of digital photography to explore the traditional genre of still life. Her intimate arrangements of animal, vegetable and mineral continue the traditions of 17th and 18th century northern European masters.
In direct contrast with her process, Timothy Sellers uses the traditional medium of oil painting to create pictures with a modern feel. Each painting depicts one or two boldly iconic fruits or vegetables.
Allison & Timothy live in Highland Park. Many of the fruits, vegetables, bird nests and other objects are from their garden.
Since PI DAY is March 14, we will be celebrating with pies in attendance.
If you can’t make the opening, the display will be see-able by appointment until April 1 (call 323-254-4565 or email firstname.lastname@example.org).
