Colorado Blvd Parking Improvements Completed

Colorado Blvd Parking

Improvements Completed

At the request of the office of Councilmember José Huizar, several parking changes and improvements requested by community members and business owners through the Take Back the Boulevard initiative have recently been completed by the Department of Transportation.

Parking meters and time limit parking signs on Colorado Boulevard between Eagle Rock Boulevard and Maywood Avenue now allow for 2 hour parking. Additionally, four “Public Parking” directional signs have been installed to inform drivers on Colorado and Eagle Rock Boulevard of the under-used public parking lot on Caspar between Merton Avenue and Colorado. We encourage those driving to the area to make use of this lot just steps away from the restaurants and shops along Colorado and Eagle Rock Boulevards.

Together, these improvements are expected to make better use of the available parking space in this busy, increasingly vibrant commercial area of Eagle Rock. If you have ideas or suggestions for additional steps that can be taken to further improve parking on Colorado Boulevard or other commercial corridors in northeast Council District 14, please feel free to contact the CD 14 Northeast Field Office at 323-254-5295.
