York Park Funding Celebration!
Dear Friends:
Join us Saturday morning as we celebrate the awarding of proposition 84 funds to develop the York Vision Plan’s park on York Boulevard and Avenue 50. Councilmember Huizar has been working, along with the community, to develop a Vision Plan for York Boulevard and a park was one of the most popular projects community members requested.
An application for the extremely competitive Proposition 84 funding was submitted to the state and fortunately, we recently learned that a pocket park at York Boulevard and Avenue 50 was one of the projects awarded funding!
Our celebration will take place this Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 9 a.m. at the corner of Avenue 50 and York Boulevard.
