The City of L.A. wants your imput on the next LAPD police chief to replace Chief Charlie Beck, who is retiring. Your answers to a new survey will be used to develop interview questions and evaluate the candidates’ knowledge, skills, abilities and personal characteristics. One section asks you to list the top five priorities for the next chief from 11 possibilities, including crime prevention, traffic enforcement, better response times, etc. Each section also has a space to write in your own opinion, rather than using the multiple choice format. The survey is at: surveymonkey.com/r/LACOP-Survey.
