Kids Eat Free in the Summer at Schools and Parks in NELA

Following are schools and parks in Northeast Los Angeles where free lunch is served on weekdays in the summer for kids and teens, ages 1 to 18. Participation in classes or activities is not required to receive a free lunch.

For meal times and other details at schools, call 211 or visit: achieve.lausd.net/cafela. For details at parks and rec centers, call the Summer Lunch Office at 818-546-2383 or 818-546-2384 or text “Summer Meals” at 97779 or visit: laparks.org/foodprogram.

Cypress Park: Nightingale Middle School, Aragon Elementary, Cypress Recreation Center, Rio de Los Angeles Park

Eagle Rock: Eagle Rock High, Toland Way Elementary, Eagle Rock Recreation Center, Yosemite Recreation Center

Elysian Valley: Dorris Place Elementary, Elysian Valley Recreation Center

Glassell Park: Loreto Elementary, Sotomayor High, Glassell Park Recreation Center

Highland Park: Aldama Elementary, Buchanan Elementary, Franklin High, Monte Vista Elementary, San Pascual Elementary, Highland Park Recreation Center, Ramona Hall Community Center

Lincoln Heights: Lincoln High, Lincoln Heights Recreation Center, Lincoln Heights Youth Center, Lincoln Park Recreation Center (The Lincoln Heights Branch Library also serves free summer lunch each weekday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. until August 9.)

Montecito Heights: Hillside Elementary, Latona Avenue Elementary, Montecito Heights Recreation Center

Mount Washington: Carlin G. Smith Recreation Center
