PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE EAGLE ROCK NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL
Sustainability Committee Formed by the Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council
By Juan Ashton
Co-Chair ERNC Sustainability Committee
The Sustainability Committee is one of three new standing committees established through the Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council’s (ERNC) 2020 bylaw amendment process. Prior to forming the Committee, the ERNC has discussed topics including plastic waste, community gardens, and tree preservation.
The Committee will continue discussion on these topics and facilitate public hearings on other environmental, social, and economic topics of interest to the community. This is an opportunity for members of the community to voice concerns or share ideas for local engagement centered on sustainability. We would love to hear from you!
Stay informed on local sustainability initiatives by signing up for the ERNC newsletter at ernc.la.
Lets do what we can to continue to make Eagle Rock an annual stopping place for Monarch butterflies.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all neighborhood council meetings are currently taking place on Zoom. The inaugural meeting of the Sustainability Committee will take place virtually on August 25. Want to get involved? The Committee is currently accepting applications for new members. Those interested in joining should contact Juan Ashton, Sustainability Director, ERNC, email: juan.ashton@ernc.la.
